When it comes to dieting, someone is always on the new next big thing. Something that all the celebrities are doing to help you lose weight and gain muscle.
But like everything I talk about on here, its about one thing, balance. You have to have balance and consistency in your diet to be successful.
What is the point of starting the greatest diet in the world if you absolutely hate what you eat and are constantly hungry which in turn causes you to stop the diet after a week or two?
Some of these diets are flat out dangerous. Did you know that by starving yourself your bodies metabolism actually begins to slow down causing you to lose weight at a slower rate? Then when you start eating again it takes a while for your body to speed your metabolism back up causing you to gain weight at a faster rate than you lost it.
The key to diet is being consistent. Consistent in what you eat and portion control. If you can manage these two things you will experience significant weight lose you can maintain.
All to often we do not eat until we are full, we eat until no food is left on our plate. This is hundreds of unneeded calories we consume each day. By simply cutting those calories and eating a little healthier most of us can lose a few pounds in a relatively short time. And by sticking to it we can keep the weight off.
Add some exercise into the mix and you will look great in no time!
