Fad Workouts

If you have spent anytime on my blog you will know that I am all about having balance to anything you do.  Much like my last post about fad diets, fad workout plans although beneficial are not the only way to get in shape and look better.

What is the point of paying a lot of money for some workout plan you hate and will not stick with?

The key is to find something you enjoy doing and do it consistently.  Make a routine of it.  Do it several times a week without fail.  Once you get into a rhythm and you do not slack it will become second nature to do everyday, like brushing your teeth.

By doing an exercise you enjoy it will be much easier to stick with and it will not be a chore to complete meaning you will do it more often and burn more calories.

Working out five minutes a day simply will not get you there.  Nor will working out once a week.  Even worse is starting a workout plan and going at it hard for two or three weeks and then quiting all together because you hate it.

You need to exercise at a minimum of three times a week.  Every week.  Do not miss workouts unless absolutely necessary even if you have to cut them short.

By being consistent you will find weight loss you can keep of instead of bouncing back and forth.  Sure you may not lose the weight as fast as you would with some celebrity workout, but you will keep it off and that is the goal isn't it?
